Reliability is good. Ive put over 15000km on mine in the past two seasons. I broke an a arm bolt where it attches to the frame and just recently a secondary clutch spring. Other than that it has been good. Startss in cold weather but i still carry a genious booster in case. I have the wrap around bumper and full skidplate on mine. Thinking to trim the skidplate to avoid ice buildup. Pretty hard to get it stuck. I was surprised at the climbing power last spring in the mountains. I think youll like it.

I havent worried about overflow or deep snow once in the past two seasons. Last year the overflow was really bad in parts of my trapline. I was making waves in the deep slush and didnt have a care in the world. Only other skidoo i had that was comparable in deep snow and water was a 2000? Rmk 800.

Make sure it has the cold weather oil. Its thinner.

Why do you guys prefer the A-arm strut style front end over the pogo style thats on the Skandics??

I like the pogo on a tundra. But we’ve got to much rough country for a heavy skandic to be of any use with that pogo style vs the a arm

Interesting Sonny. I've been running a bearcat wt with the A-arm front suspension. Love the machine, but hate the A-arms and I cant imagine rougher country to travel in than where I trap. My previous sled was a skandic 600 ace with the pogo front suspension and it was much tougher than the A-arms. Where I have trouble is with hidden stumps, logs etc. The A-arms take a beating in stuff the pogos wont even touch. Im constantly pulling branches and sticks out that get hung up in them. Im in heavy timber country though, very few places can you see 50-yards away, so likely different than where you are.

I had make a short try with new 2019 exp 24'' track 900 ace, smooth on solid trail, but no really performance at reverse in deep snow,my skandic 2014 SWT 600 etec with pogo front suspension work really better on front and reverse, much power with slushy water, sure on 900 ace you have no smoke and low noise but weak little bit of HP, the new 900 ace turbo have more HP 150 but not yet in skandic option or swt exp, probably next year for spin the BRP Wheel of fortune....lol
