I believe you may have confused modern political classifications with a traditional academic term. I could be dead wrong, and they did ask you about political aspects of education.

I think you are confusing an academic word for a political one.

I should have clarified. The intent of the school is for an academically liberal education but they involved the political aspect for that assignment.

It goes a lot further than "anti-gun".

A FACT that you won't readily find published is that the original organizer of the "walkout" is a woman named Tamika Malloy. Never heard of her ???????

She is a follower and acolyte of Louis Farrakhan....The leader of the Nation of Islam !

Spot on White17,
Earlier on this thread i asked people to watch the news and who was standing behind the kids. A Black kid was speaking and over his right shoulder stood Al Sharptons right hand man.

Very interesting ! And not surprising at all.

Id like to think that a number of those young folks would connect the dots of just what that means for them, in their values as US citizens if they continue to support this movement . Hopefully all, if not most would drop that like a hot horse shoe.

Thank you for this insight, Sir Ken .

I've been giving some serious consideration to getting my degree and becoming a history/civics teacher.

A few of the posts on this thread are proof that I should give it deeper consideration.

I would also bet coward county sheriff Islam is behind this pushing as well as I see him quacking and walking like a politician.

Probably will be Florida next governor with his amazing leadership.

They flooded our country with immigrants for votes and they use teachers and students to teach their ways.

When the revolution not if but when it does start our country will be the most vulnerable it has ever been.

They want control so bad they are willing to sacrifice freedom.

Maybe armed teachers could have been an answer or deterrent, but if we can't afford pencils and paper for classrooms how are we going to afford a concealed weapon and training for teachers? Of course, many will be against raising taxes for such reason.

Kids taking their safety into consideration is not liberal brainwashing. We are born with Constitutional rights, even if you don't agree with their use.

Frankly, the more school shooting that occur the more danger to our second amendment. You better act now or have less of a leg to stand on in the future. You can sit back and trade kids for your second amendment rights but eventually you will wish you acted sooner.

And of course throw out libtard, brainwash, agenda, indoctrination, and other buzzwords but the truth is there. Time to listen to kids and do something meaningful. No where am I saying to ban anything, but it's time to find a common sense solution from both sides.

I have no issues with anyone protesting as long as it is peaceful and the protestors are at least somewhat educated on why they are protesting. my guess is most of these kids don't even know exactly why they are protesting or any facts about those issues. just people like the teachers and social media pushing the uneducated to protest.

along these lines I had my 4th grade daughter tell me a story last night she learned in school. her teacher was talking about the school shooting and the walk out. told the class a kid went to a gun store, bought a fully automatic rifle, then went to the school and shot 17 people. I told her her teacher is wrong and he needs to educate himself before he tries educating kids about something he knows nothing about. im hoping he'll want a meeting in the near future smile

Is it time we teach our kids and grand kids to defy, disrespect and question everything teachers say?

Seems them making a stand needs to be addressed as we should not sit back and let them decide what to teach in public school.

Seeing the largest example of groupthink since 1930s Rise of hitler, young minds easily manipulated, Stalin's useful idiots so to speak.

Been seeing a lot of folks saying about if these kids would befriend some of these bulLied kids or kids that just seem to be outsiders things could be a ton better.

Course we talk about guns all the time but still no one speaks about psychotropic meds and their part in these shootings? God forbid democrats whiz off big pharma.

It's been shown these were not "good guys with guns" but rather part of the anti-gun agenda. Probly escorted the "students" to D.C. to protest though.

Pencils and paper? I supplied my own when I was a student.

Listen to the kids? They eat tide pods and can't dress themselves. They're not adults. They focus on their cellphones and video games.. Not decision-makers to say the least. Let's let pre-schoolers make the rules.

I agree with Gary. Why should we listen or care what opinion children have on adult matters,I don't.Letting the children call the shots is your typical leftist upbringing and a sure way to get a "special snowflake".Why are so many pouting, whining and protesting. Its simple, its always gotten them their way before. They just aren't smart or mature enough to realize that "their idea" is not their own and they are being exploited by the left for political gain.

Why should we care about kid's opinions on adult matters? Because they are being killed.
