I tell myself trapping season never ends. There is the actual catching season and the rest of the year is preparation season. So as this season slips away I'm curious what is at the top of everyone's preparation/shopping lists for next season?

I need to dye some traps, I grabbed stuff to use this fall that has been around for years, did not prepare at all. I retired in August and did not intend to kill myself trapping for low dollar fur, but I have a lot of rusty traps right now, my as well dye and wax them up now.

I got my handful of canine traps cleaned and put up. For next season I need to convert more wire coon stretchers to wood bottoms and make 3 more adjustable coyote boards. Other than making up some bait for coon and canine I think I'll be ready to go

Clean out the freezer, grind glands, skin/scrape the skunks/badgers, make oils/grease, 1/4 bobcat carcasses to make more room in the freezer.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

As I'm still getting started trapping, have lots of traps to buy still. Have some older traps that need a little restoration and fixing up.
Planning on doing some home tanning of the bit of fur I got late this year.
It'll be a busy spring/summer getting set up for fall.
