I have seen road kill ones in the last few weeks. I seen one running around in a hay yard a few days ago also.
I don't believe there would be anything wrong with the quality of a skunk in cold weather if it is in one piece.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Check your regs first. I asked the game warden about collecting essence from roadkill skunks after the season closes and he said it was a violation of the regs. That is what I was thinking also because if they are not in season then it will be a violation

That is what I was thinking also because if they are not in season then it will be a violation City has me provide nuisance wild life service for them. My nuisance wildlife permit allows me to have them in my possession. Services provided, within the scope of the law.

i was too,,im retired now..is it possible to just insert a needle and withdraw without moving them? Come on stinker guru"s you can but it fouls the needle and syringe and I dont want a stinky syringe in my truck waiting for the next one. I would prefer to draw 50 glands all at the same time.

A syringe won't last long if you don't rinse it out. I keep a bottle of water with enuf glycol in it to keep it from frreezing, and try to do as many as I can at a time to, but I bring them home to do it, then when I'm done, and the pods saved, I chuck the rest in my outside boiler, no smell or mess. My home crematorium! I should add, that when I rinse out my syringe, I squirt the rinse water back inside the. skunk carcass, further reducing the smell of handling it!
