They work well.

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

What is a torpedo ? What is it's purpose.
Do you use a drownder to slide down the kill pole ?

Thanks for sharing. Lots of good ideas there. One reason we avoid, or just don't use much anyway, is that snares for beaver in NC must be checked daily. Submerged 330s can extend to 72 hours. But if running footholds or partially submerged 330s it is a daily check anyway, which wouldn't matter to then use snares.

Is this expected to be a lethal set , with the beaver wrapping around the pole?

Do you have a full picture of a "torpedo" set up? Sorry I didn't see your other post.

How long are most of your kill poles if you don't mind me asking?

Could you post a picture of the whole set up not in the water for us visually challenged. Maybe just laying on the floor?

Aix, you forgot to mention carp & grinels plugging up yer coni's as well as turtles, at they do up here NE La., I'm like you I'd rather use snares, but the coni's do have there place, especially on slides.

Maybe not. Have you used it yet?

That's a 3/8ths I made for snaring turtles ( yes it's possible lol ). Got the original idea from locklear who uses them alot. From his snaring videos ( there's some free ones on wolfernation but you gotta dig deep ) you want at least a half inch dia pole. The snare anchor is that metal pipe on the top basically you take some pipe that just barely slips over the pole and weld your support wire and anchor point. Once it's cooled you slip it over the pole and crimp it on with a hammer the same way you would hammer a stop on snare cable. Your supposed to driver them in as deep as possible and apparently animals rarely like to chew them.
