I doubt they will get that passed but if they do it won't be long before I move out of the state, they just made suppressors legal 2 years ago and now they want to make them illegal again. These people in the metro are idiots and lunatics.
I bet the inspection part could be challenged as an unconstitutional invasion of privacy, perhaps even most of it. I own quite a bit of what they want to ban lol, I hear a faint "go west young man" in my ears.

I don't have anything that most of this applies to, but I am still outraged by it. I've been hearing that faint "go west young man" for years, but it is getting louder.

What's annoying about this bill is that it evn targets my SKS. I don't even have any Scary Black AR-15s but my little SKS is included. it also includes all kind of other guns. The new "assault weapon" is;
(1) semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and has one or more of the following:
(i) a pistol grip or thumbhole stock;
(ii) any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the nontrigger hand;
(iii) a folding or telescoping stock; or
(iv) a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel;
(2) semiautomatic pistol, or any semiautomatic, centerfire, or rimfire rifle with a fixed magazine, that has the capacity to accept more than seven rounds of ammunition;
(3) semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and has one or more of the following:
(i) any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the nontrigger hand;
(ii) a folding, telescoping, or thumbhole stock;
(iii) a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel; or
(iv) the capacity to accept a detachable magazine at any location outside of the pistol grip;
(4) semiautomatic shotgun that has one or more of the following:
(i) a pistol grip or thumbhole stock;
(ii) any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the nontrigger hand;
(iii) a folding or telescoping stock;
(iv) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of seven rounds; or
(v) an ability to accept a detachable magazine;
(5) shotgun with a revolving cylinder; or
(6) conversion kit, part, or combination of parts from which an assault weapon can be assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person.
(b) Assault weapon does not include any firearm that has been made permanently inoperable.

Looking at current land prices to build our dream house and now the anti-gun push is enough to make me want to move but I have to talk my wife into it, she doesn't like moving but she also doesn't like government telling us what to do, she is from Ukraine and she knows the real value of the 2A also!

Not illegal to own per say. If you already own the firearm (before 2/1/18) you can keep it as long as you get a background check every year, and allow the state to enter your home and inspect how you store the firearm. You cannot gift it to anyone including your own children however and can only use it at a range or on land that YOU own or control. Lucky for me I sold all of mine last year. The guy paid cash and I can't remember his name..................
I have nothing clever to put here.

Bunch of democrat authors. That bill wont go anywhere. The Speaker of the House is very pro gun and sensible
"They that can give up essential liberty to gain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety" Ben Franklin talking about guns

Any Ruger 10/22 would be illegal also. Funny how the child support thing got thrown into a gun bill.
