I am looking for some good quality ground beef and beef steaks. Where I live, I cannot find any good quality beef. I do not want any of the yuppie massaged beef like waigoo or whatever it is. I am just looking for some really good quality beef. I don’t want grocery store added 10% solution of artificial toxic waste as a flavor enhancer to increase the price.

Does anyone raise and sell inspected packaged ground beef and steaks? Or, can you direct me to someone who I can contact? I would like to order some to try - about 20 pounds of lean ground and about 10 pounds of ribeye steaks. Yum, yum, eatem up!

And this is trapping related, because I need some good nutrition so I have strength to do my nuisance trapping and predator management removal work. My wife says she is malnourished from lack of good protein.

Thanks and best wishes.

Willy, check with local butchers.
I love grass fed beef, which you can buy at most grocery stores too. Lately I've been seeing grass fed beef for around or less than "regular" beef.
Or if you are just looking for ground beef go with ground buffalo. Way healthier way better flavor. More expensive but worth it. If you have a Krogers/smith's near you they should have it stocked. Few weeks back the one here it for $6.99lb. at smith's.

Many Feed mills, or Co op's have lists of people selling Half or Quarter's of Beef. Find One of those Farmers order a Half and have it cut up to your Spec's. We sell beef that way, once it leaves our farm it Goes to the Butcher and the Customer pays processing fees.

If you are thinking of buying grass fed, try some before you go all in. Some like it, some don't.

Grass fed is synonymous with bad shoe leather as far as flavor is concerned, IMO.

Grass fed beef is barely fit for coyote bait. If i had the money I'd feed a steer a straight diet of Golden Grahams cereal. Now that would be some tasty vittles

I have used Winner's Meats for processing 3 times and will continue to do so. They are in Osgood, Ohio on State Route 705.

Winner's has been winning the national competitions with their sausage.
