Wyoming for sure. When CO legalized weed, every dirtbag in the country moved there.
Everyone you meet in the outdoors in Wyoming is from CO, trying to escape.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Ft Collins is millennial heck. College town plus trust funders. Feel free to PM me if you need more info on the state.

Casper gets a ton of wind but not as much as the South end of the state. Central Wyoming gets way less wind. Great coyotes there also. I lived in Riverton for 8 years, really loved the town and the area

As this is Trapperman I reckon you might want to trap ? Last I heard it was pretty much live traps in Co.

I would say no to Ft Collins. Had my first run in with fruits and ferries in that town. After a slight altercation I was asked to leave the bar I had been in. I left the state, never have went back. That was almost 20 years ago, doubt it got any better.

Spent a week on the Robbins Ranch north of Medicine Bow, saw plenty of game antelope, mule deer, elk, coyote, lots of jackrabbits, sage hens. I think I could live there, but the wife would never go.

Years ago I trapped around Rawlins and Medicine Bow. If I was to move to Wyo one of those areas is where I would go.

Medicine Bow is awfully close to Colorado.
My family vacationed on Snowy Range every summer when I was growing up. Now the entire area is open to ATVs. Folks come in dragging their 45' campers back in on the primitive roads, getting high-centered on rocks. It is entertaining but sad. Last summer I couldn't catch a brookie of any size, while years ago there were many trout.

I would go to Wyoming. I spent the last 5 years working and living in Denver. Everybody wants to live in Colorado so the whole front range is exploding from Ft.Collins to the Springs. Housing cost are ridiculous very expensive. The pot industry has not helped the area. They talk about the revenue it brings it but not the flood of homeless people looking to work in the pot industry. Steel traps are not permitted unless you get a special permit to use them. I visited Wyoming many times while in Colorado and really enjoyed it. Just go online and read their trapping regulations you can snare, use conibear on land, 72 hour trap checks sounds good to me.
