I wonder sometimes if I overdo my bobcat sets -maybe not necessarily scaring them off, but simply wasting lure and $$. My typical routine is a couple squirts of urine, a couple dabs of gland lure, and some call lure above the set. I’m often re-luring every check (3 days) or every other. I guess I figure I’ve hiked back in there, might as well freshen it up. What about all of you? How often you re-lure? More often in colder temps?
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Only if a traps fired or a catch is made. If I need to change something I make a fresh set.
Common sense catches alot of fur.. Pay homage to all you harvest..

$400.00 cat!? I need to move to Idaho! I've never caught a bobcat, don't have a season (or much of a population) where I'm at. A little further north and you can trap them, I think only 1 per season though. It would be awesome to be able to set traps for a $400.00 critter!
When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

Kinda the same? I don't relure either unless a catch is made.

15-20 days is more than plenty, I've gone back to pulled sets up 2 months later and critters are still working the set.
Let me sugar coat this

The length of time you western cat trappers leave sets at one location is incredible. But, for those high dollar cats I guess that what you do. I haven't left a trap set more than 10 or 12 nights ever in my life. I prefer to put them in front of different cheap critters...lol
