X2 I was there last weekend to get a scarf and ear muffs made for my daughter. I had my skunk hat made there. Definitely recommend them!

I don't think they do tanning in house. Look up Moyle's tannery prices and add up shipping both ways get you at that price depending on beaver size and quantity.
I had beaver and otter made into mittens, hats and ear muffs at Wildthings this past spring. I already had everything tanned. Very happy with the work and will use them again. They have good pictures of the items you desire on their web site.

yukonal Here are my mittens I had made at least 25 years ago now. They were made by Furs By Fritz. Not sure he still in business?? They are beaver outside with steer skin palms. the inside liner is muskrat. I really don't wear them for much other than running the quad or the airboat. I find them a little clumsy for much more than just hiking or running the machines. That is why they still look so good. I also have a large Russian trooper hat made by USA Fox. That I wear a lot and it's at least 20 years old. I actually need to have it repaired or a new one made. Sweating on the brow has the leather all cracked and it's coming apart. That said. I plan to take the hat to WildThings Fur once weather warms, Want to see if they can reapair it or just make me a new one like it. WildThings Fur is about 30-40 miles east of me so I'll just take a drive. Their great folks and I should probably have used them years ago when I had this stuff made. I didn't realize they were there and got pointed in different direction back then. My trooper hat in natural beaver.. My large Gauntlet style mittens Mac

330-Trapper Now is the time to have things made for your self while fur prices are down. I had my mittens made I think in the early 90s I just can't recall for sure. I know price on everything was down though. so i took my canoe went out just to trap a few rats, scratch the itch as we say. Seen were these beavers were pulling out so plopped in a couple traps just for them. Caught two mediums and pulled the traps. I want to say the hides were tanned by Moscow Hide?? just can't recall?? I've used Moyle and there was another company I sent fur to, then they only did some sent some back raw as they folded. Last fur I had tanned was by the new young guy in Iowa. Can't even remember that without looking it up. Anyway I've had most my items made for myself or the wife when raw fur prices were low. Trap to scratch the itch use the best hides for my self instead of selling them.

DON AND BRENDA AT WILD THINGS. They are top notch and good people to deal with, trappers also. They have been in business quite a few years. They donate fur hats to Wi Trappers Auctions in Sept..
