I'll be doing my first garden this year. Nothing too big, but I'm going to do a few tomatoes, some cucumbers, potatoes, possibly some sweet corn, and some peppers. I'm pretty excited about it.

I'll put in a few tomatoes plants, some onions, early sugar snap peas, some radish, maybe a little bit of kohlrabi, a few potatoes and some dill for sure. And a couple three hills of cucumbers trained to climb a super tall tomato cage. I like fresh stuff out of the garden to go along with my meat. But each year a garden brings back painful memories of my early child hood. Painful because of my dislike taste for beets when I was about 5 and the whooping I got after I hoed out a couple rows of them nasty things in my mom's garden..... LOL!!!!

Tomatoes, peppers, and a few cukes still hate beets

Not a fan of beets by themselves but a good borscht is one of my favorite dishes with a nice dallop of sour cream.

I like beets but no one else does and they stain the heck out of stuff so they are not raised here much anymore. I plant enough to make 4-6 pints of pickled beets each year.
