This afternoon I took a quick look at the 65 cats. Most looked good but none had spotted white bellies wide enough to qualify as NAFA top lot as far as I could tell.

Idaho Fur, Rocky Mountain, Wyoming Fur(obviously), Fort Benton, Western Montana, Bruce Bartow, J & M, ALCC, and others I don't recall off the top of my head. Top cat was in the 900s average closer to 300. Coyotes average probably around 60 but lots of lots 90-100+ average. Marten around 30. Fox 20ish. Rats were better around 3-3.50. Coon mostly around 7 average. Beaver around 10 average. These are just numbers I was hitting on the calculator as bids were read off. I'd assume official averages later this week.

Yes, good A belly cats did well B belly cats struggled. Huge gap in price between the two
There was a lot of heavy cats at the sale but many were B bellies or worse. Nothing a trapper can do about that
Top coyotes were 112 and change I believe Western Montana and J&M bought many coyotes with American hide and fur also buying some
Marten were mostly bought by Idaho fur
Porky hair was mostly bought by fort Benton
Cats were bought by many buyers competing
Fox were mostly eagle rock
Rats bought by alcc and Idaho fur the best I could tell
That's what I recall

Thanks Nick. I sure hope those prices hold until March. It might be hard to talk myself into going to Rupert with the ITA sale just an hour away.

Any truth to a lot of coyotes were no sale. Heard over 500 were pulled from the sale because of low offers. I'll look at my notes but no I do not believe that to be true There was a lot or 2 that no saled on a 70 some avg but I don't believe 500 no saled 2 buyers alone must've bought 1000 of the 12-1300
