I haven’t watched a NFL game since the “takeing a knee” thing started, and don’t plan on watching ever again. I do miss watching but I just can’t bring myself to turn a game on. Just wondering if im just to hard headed

I don't watch sports because fishing, hunting and trapping get in the way. A very good problem to have.

Formally known as Meathunter78. Just doing it for meat.

Patriot. The ratings stay down and things will change. Right now they are dipping into the savings and waiting for things to go back. Eventually they will have to change. For the last several years I would watch parts of the Chiefs, bits of a game as I was flipping channels and always the Super Bowl. This year: zero NFL, turn the channel quick if it is on, and I will not watch a second of the Super Bowl.

It's just like politics....do you still talk to your Democrat friends..? I do...just not about politics...lol. Some people cut them out of their
Lives......Life is all about choices. The Patriots figured out they PO 'd a lot of people in the beginning and made many statements after the fact . I didn't watch for a month. I watched the Home teams since I was a kid....Patriots ,Bruins,Celtics, and Red Sox....and still enjoy it. I have some friends that have no interest in any sports at all..... So do what you feel is right for you.

Just watch it from a place that doesn't help their ratings...

The Romans built stadiums and fed the masses to keep them entertained Rome will never die. It is quiet alive and well- We now have everything from NASCAR-tennis all to keep us entertained and numb to what is really going on. Us Americans have a right to watch everything we want after our hard earned shift at whatever it is we do over with. And now it's reality television, which is almost bad as organized sports, or maybe worse- i am not sure. And don't forget to discount video games- WAKE UP AMERICA !!!

How many innings are in football anyhow ? cool

How many here that are boycotting are also a "Nielsen Family"?

Just curious because if your family isn't a Nielsen Family you boycotting has no effect on ratings.

A family that allows the Nielson company to monitor what they watch for the purposes of ratings.

I didn’t know it was still a thing.

I will watch the super bowl only because it’s at a party. I could care less about pro football other than that. I would not let
what I thought was a poor decision by some players stop me from enjoying the sport if I was a fan.

If you really wanted to make a difference, write a handwritten letter to the owner to complain and tell them you will not be buying NFL label products or any of the advertised products during the game. You could also copy it and send it to the companies that are advertised during the game. Other than that, not watching them does little except make you feel bad or good.

Like Ness said, it’s all about choices.

aah, TV, didn't realize that was still a thing after the digital conversion years ago. Guess it's a townie thing? Broadcast range about matches the city limits.
Could care less about NFL, no gals playing there and I never had an interest in boys wearing tight pants.

Tittle of thread doesn't give a clue to the op content, eh?

Some people say boycotting makes a difference, but I'm not buying it.
