I'm planning on making about 10 dozen drags for my coyote line and looking for ideas or pictures for a simple lightweight compact, easy to build design.

Light drags are not as good Define light? A lot of guys gravitating towards a lighter drag on 10-12 foot of chain. For coyotes at least.

When your hauling 100 of them around it makes a difference. You don't want to copy the Wimberly then. Great drags, but they got some meat to them.

It's not so much what kind of drag you use as how much chain you use on that drag. The chain keeps the drag on the ground.

More critical than type of drag is the area your using them. Need lots of brush to hang up in and soft ground to make drag marks easy to follow. They just don't work good everywhere.

Light drags are not as good Unless you pre-hook to the sapling, then they are perfect. I can't keep my 1 lb mini drags in stock...BUT, some types of country you don't have the luxury of pre-hooking.
