I will be making some chunk meat bait with Dobbin's Bait Solution in the next couple of days. I am thinking about mixing bobcat and beaver meat together . Has anyone tried this or do you think it would be better to keep them separate, straight beaver or straight bobcat? Also how does this compare to prepared baits such as Hiawatha Valley or Topdog Predator bait?

I'd do them separate just to see which one I like best for future consideration.

Beaver meat breaks down faster than cat meat. If your going to taint it first. If your not going to taint the meat first, it doesn't matter if you mix them. Personally I prefer making my own bait. I can use larger amounts of bait at my sets and not worry about the cost. You can make 4 gallons of bait for the same cost of one gallon of commercial baits.
