I just secured a 220 Lincoln stick welder. It's been one 25 years since I last welded. IS there an app or website you guys would recommend? Looking for help on the correct settings for a given material thickness. As well and the correct stick.

Thanks

Get yourself some 6011 and 7018, 3/32" and 1/8"

6011 is a good penetrating rod that strike easy with little slag. Plus with enough amps you can cut with it. 6011 runs on AC and direct current electrode positive.

7018 produces smooth, strong welds. Good for structural stuff. It needs to be baked of moisture. They make 7018AC rods or standard DC ones.

Youtube will show you how to move the puddle around.
