Was the banquet sold out this year?

My buddy Calvin had to take this pic of a couple of trappers...

The banquet was not sold out with fur prices and weather it hasn't been sold out I very highly dought that moving it to Brainerd will change that but time will tell.

Show me how the banquets mission was to raise money when no one did any actually detailed accounted of the real expenses of it in recent years, and then you can start complaining! Some of us have chose not to go because of this very reason.




Moving it to Brainerd is going to be a good move IMHO. The food cost is going to bet cut in half, and Brainerd is a lot more accessible place for many people in the state. There are other draws in town to bring the whole family too.

You can sign me up for 2 tickets for next year!

To answer the question of the event being sold out the correct answer is "no". Because of circumstances several groups called and could not make it for individual reason. Had they made it we would have come out 5 short of a sellout. Pretty awesome results for a depressed fur market and bad weather.

15 for prime rib, 11 for walleye, 10 for chicken. Caterer is the legion that hosts it.

I have never been to the dinner. And I don't have a problem with where it is held. Anywhere central in the state is a trip for me anyhow. That is just the price I pay for living in paradise.

I am not going there for the meal, I am going there to raise money to support the cause. Any decent meal will work, its the properly run banquet that actually raises money for the cause that I am there to support. The right people and the right atmosphere is more important than the meal any day to me. If spaghetti was $5 a plate, I would get that and be just fine with it.

I could care less what you want to eat. You made a false statement about the meal price to make Buzz look bad and it's uncalled for. Had about enough of the twisting stuff around to make people look bad.
