My trusty old Springfield single shot bolt guy. Had to pry the empties out with a pocket knife.

I had a stevens single shot. Had a knob like the modern cricket. Ejector worked. Me and that rifle had a lot of adventures together. Bought a used 10-22 not long after I moved to KS in 81. Been my go to 22 ever since.

I started out using a J. C. Higgins bolt action 22 that my Dad bought new the day I was born. Dad gave it to my son who reblued it & refinished the stock. Today it sits in his gunrack, but gets used once or twice a year just because.

I love them all, and have so many .22s hard to pick. 3 stand out. My first is a Ruger 10/22 given to me by my Dad and big brother, second is a Marlin Glenfield mod 25 given to me by my favorite uncle to kill more rabbits and squirrels when he no longer could. 3rd is my H&R Pioneer single that has seen more trapline miles and dispatch duty than I can recall. And I have been eying a Henry lever .22 lately.
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!
