Looking for a good flashlight. Love the brightness of the bushnell but they don't last long, are weak, and have a horrible warranty. Must be economical and under $50. Thanks.

Under fifty! Try under 20. I keep telling people that are looking for light to go SKYWOLFEYE! Rechargeable, decent battery life, high powered and CHEAP! I got multiple flashlight's from them and all of them are great. I got red lights, green lights, white lights, and even a free blue light! My favorite is one I got earlier this year, 60,000 LM's for 15.00. They have an LED light, super long range and they have a somewhat compact build depending on which one you would get.

Look up Fenix flashlights. I carry two- ones been thru the washing machine twice and works great. Theres a ton of different models on their website. They vary from a single aa 120 lumen to extremely bright with several lithiums.

Can't believe the amount of light and longevity they get out of a light with 4 AA batteries nowadays. It's as bright as my $100 work light.

Last one I bought was 2 for $50. on amazon.

As far as a hand held flashlight I have a couple Mag Lights that had a regular bulb until I changed them over to LED.For head lamps I buy the cheep Ozark Trail brand from Walmart. I get the ones with the highest lumens and they last a couple of years. If I loose one im only out $15.

Streamlight survivor is a great light, has recharger, rechargeable battery and a way to use 4aa.

Very bright focused beam, a few levels of brightness.

If it does not need to be very bright the military fulton mx-991U can be bought for under $10, has different colored lenses and will take a led bulb so the batteries last forever.

X2. I have the 2D which are big but the 2C and 2AA are very bright and run on regular batteries. All less than $30, the 2AA is a nice light, bright, little light for $20. I carry the 2C and some extra C's in my pack deer hunting. The Lithium battery lights are bright I'll give them that. I have several "surefire" lights but the batteries are outrageous.

My work light is a Surefire and yes it is very bright but the batteries and the light are expensive. I wont spend much on a hunting/trapping light that i will eventually loose.

My surefire combatlight stays in my edc bag and I carry a cheap Chinese in my pocket daily, it takes rechargeable.

I've always had Maglites. They are cheap, bright, get good battery life and all have beams that focus from flood to almost pinpoint. I have 2-AA's in most of my daypacks, 3D's in all my vehicle glove boxes and a 4D on my nightstand.

Some of mine are way over twenty years old and still work like they should. Most Maglite models are available in incandescent or LED with LED being about twice the price.

Most of my smaller ones are incandescent and will have their bulbs replaced with LED bulbs The larger, newer ones are all LED.

Streamlight makes good stuff. The Dualie is a good light for normal tasks

Maglite stuff sucks anymore.
