I've been gathering up a bunch of #4 Jumps for the beaver arsenal, and I ended up with one that caught my eye. I know the older victors had the cast jaws with the flare where the spring rides up and the newer models had stamped steel jaws without a flare. Also the older victor jump springs had a narrower "tab" at the end than the newer ones.

The Victor #4 Jump I came across has stamped steel jaws with a flare like the cast jaws, the end of the spring has a smaller tab (spring is also stamped off center, factory error), and a newer style chain. I'm assuming this may have been made at a transition point, just curious about what year approximately. I know its probably not worth more than any other jump. Thanks in advance.

The pan says Oneida Community = 1925 or earlier.

Twin loop chain (if original) says Animal Trap Company = 1925 or later

So, I would say 1925, 1926, some where in there. In my opinion.

And your right, it isn't any more valuable than any other # 4 jump. Just a good user trap. Though that off center spring is kinda cool.
