lebanon mo,
I have a tomahawk that I believe is an original Vietnam war tomahawk . Anybody collect them ? I am from the area that they were made .

I did not know about them till I went to a trap auction in ebensburgh pa , the guy turned out to be a master blacksmith , hand forging his own traps ,and had a tomahawk like the one I have .

I was at a trap auction in ebensburg about 1999 or so. Bought a lot of stuff, ran out of money. The guy was a blacksmith, I forget his name. I bought 2 of his traps- they were 1 1/2 longs and rivaled old Sewells traps.

Was you the owner or was it someone else? This was in Ebensburg PA and I thought the owner was placed in a home. I believe his name was Boyd McGary. I didnt get any 4 1/2s but got 3 mint 81 1/2s.

lebanon mo,
He was 90 something years old and in a home . I wish I would of met him when I was trying black smithing he was a master . If you are John you bought my 41/2 at my house .

Vietnam war tomahawks were made in ebensburgh pa in the 60s . I was given one that was made in 65 hand forged , I am sure that old man made it or taught a person to make them , they are cast now . Mine has initials stamped on it . I don't know how to post pictures but can email a picture if you pm your email address . Lots of fakes out there now .

YES, I remember now, we went to your place afterwards. I was thinking a 4 1/2 at the auction. It had teeth welded in.I don't remember the tomahawks there, it sure was a miserable day that I do remember.
