Anybody know what happened to the 660s?
I just talked to Cumberlands Northwest Trapper and they don't have any.
Thanks Jon

I have used 660's for around 10-15 years over here on the Mississippi and Black Rivers. I absolutely love them for filling in a wide run. Have also used them on those slides that don't have a very definite water entry. I think they are faster than most 330's...maybe not Belisles but fast nonetheless. Nice to have a couple in the arsenal for sure.

I Even caught Just a large inside portion of a beavers Castor in the 660.

And had to work hard to finish that ADC job on a spooked (no doubt) beaver that was swimming around with only One Gland left. I posted that picture on here, no one had ever had that happen to them and many suggested that someone was playing a joke on me by putting that large gland into my trap.
A wile later I had pulled all Bodygrip traps from this Creek line, left the beaver to calm down and came back a couple weeks later to Nab 2 remaining adults: lo and behold one of them upon skinning had only ONE Castor gland. It had been caught I believe setting off that 660 and was nabbed by the hind squeezed out of the trap leaving part of the beaver with the trap.
Skeptics aside here is the actual photo.

That is amazing!

Rich built some good stuff...glad you brought it back up Wolfdog. With your welding talents I think you could make a killing selling a version of the 660 trap.

I've made 1 bigger trap not quite a 660 i think mine might only be 18 inches wide, what kind of rod Do you use for the trigger wire? I used a piece of plexi glass. I'm wondering if it is a really stiff rod? Is regular 1/8" rod stiff enough? When I had access to a plasma table I made some extra dogs and want to make a wider one.

FYI ...Nick Erny from RBG co. is now making his own version of this trap...he calls it the 10-22 trap.

Nick is a great guy and loca(5miles)l to one of my houses. I have been trying out a 6" rbg catching groundhogs and other critters that use their tunnel to go under the barn. It fits better than a 220 a d all the catches have been perfect. I can say I'm a fan. Being able to get sizes from 2.5" up really opens up options.

I need to stop by his shop and get stocked on snares an see if he ever got any mb 550s instock. And anything else I cant live without of course.
