i have a house that has skunks under it. i caught two skunks under it the first night both males. then everything went dead for a week. the home onwer plugged the hole two weeks before he called me. a few days ago i went under there to make sure there were no more skunks and no other entry points that i may have missed. well i crawled within three foot of one. they have toren a lot of the insulation off the duct work and are making there beds in it. the one i crawled up on just looked at me and walked off. there has been three covered cages under there since i started the job. this one has not offered to go in the traps.
what is your suggestions?????????

if it walks swims or flies im after it

How are they getting food? Where are they getting out? What are they eating?

still see a few bugs under there. problem is they are not getting out. the home owner sealed the hole in the block before he called me.

went under there today and seen it again. it is curled up in the same spot as the last few days. shined the light on it and it just walked off. was thinking of fencing it off and forcing it into a trap but the crawl space is pretty tight. to tight to tick off a skunk

this is a first for me. always have been able to get them all within a few days but this one has me stumped

Ever think about using a remote control vehicle like kids use to navigate and help position the animal to go where you would like it to go.

If you do that strap a gopro on it good advertising:) I would try using a bowl of water for bait. Works well for trap shy raccoons who have been trapped in, may also work for a skunk?

Syringe pole works well, but you need to contain the skunk (like into a corner) so it can't move away from the pole. Some skunks don't fight the syringe, others do. If it starts stomping it's feet or acting aggressively, I wouldn't use it especially under the house. You can direct them into a trap using water. Get a small pump sprayer and you can move them where you want with that. I would consider reopening an exit for it, putting a cage trap right at the outside of the opening, and then moving it to the opening with water spray. If all goes well, the skunk should go to the exit, and get caught in the trap. I would also cover the trap with a tarp/blanket so it is more willing to enter it, and then you can remove it easier also.

I like that idea. Or 2nd choice you could try an enclosed trap and a spray bottle of water. Set the trap up where the skunk may want to go and spray the skunk with squirts of water and try to maneuver it into the trap. He may walk into the trap to avoid the spray.
