Does anyone have step by step instructions using adjustable stretchers? Pics would be nice if you have any

The depot I ship my furs through Tells me that the bottom lips should be removed . The lip is of no value . This is where the staple your bar code . Nice cat just the same .

Keep it simple and
If it aint broke don't fix it

I don't ship my furs and my furbuyer wants it left on. coyote snarer you need a tail board in the middle so you can get the legs pulled all the way togather.

I saw a post a while back with some reds done navada style and it looked like the cut from the heel to the vent was not done in the traditional way. {Coulda been just the way I was lookin at the photo and the stretch combined}
Did'nt ask before but is the cut made diff. for a better appearence when pinning the legs together down the board?? The color change on those fox {from the white to red} left a nice line right down the middle of each leg when it was pinned. Made the white come together for a solid look from the belly all the way down the middle of the legs.Looked pretty kool that way. Is there a trick to opening up the rear diff.?????

All you have to do is cut from the leg right along the line on the fur where its different color all the way to the other leg. You are leaving all the belly on them.

I can understand the reasoning on leaving the legs longer on a cat so that the belly looks better/more spots, but why go through the extra work on a coyote or fox? I lop the front legs off at the elbow joint and have never been docked for doing so, not to mention that they dry better/quicker this way. Then again I use wire instead of wood so I'm lazy all around.

Your right it's alot more pinning. It just makes them look better and shows you really try to make them look nice in the furbuyers eyes and alot of times you will get more money.

NEVER heard of a buyer wanting the lip left ON NOT in 28 years of cat trapping... I've been told to cut it OFF as the prefered method of put up as there is NO need/use for it...

Now, maybe I am wrong, or was informed incorrectly BUT .... I thought strectching fur NEVADA style had more to do with the wooden stretchers being used? The Nevada style stretchers Im refering to have a smooth rounded "pinch" (for lack of a better word) where the neck of the animal is. This type stretch (I think) gives the tuffs of the cats face more fullness and makes the belly appear real nice and wide by narrowing the stretch just above in the neck area.
The traditional coyote, cat stretcher Ive always used and seen is curved at the top coming to almost a point at the critters nose with no other narrowing throughout the animal.
Maybe I am way off base here, as I have never been to Nevada, Ive never seen Elvis, Dont know much about the Hoover dam, or even know anyone personaly who has been to Reno so why, I ask myself would I pretend to know about how they stretch their cats \:\)

The Nevada Stretch refers to the bringing of the legs around to the front and giving the illusion of a LARGER/LONGER belly.
Why would you want to do it this way??? Because the cats that are done THIS way tend to bring MORE $$$$$ than stretched other ways..being in Kansas..you need ALL THE HELP you can to maximize your "wimpy" cats... \:D \:D
