For muddy banks i make mine 4 inches long and 20 inches deep they will hold. I use them on drowning rigs. Instead of a wood or rebar stake just attach anchor to drowner cable. Set and go!

i just cut mine 3 in long. no angle and they work great.

cut mine out of half inch steel pipe 3 inches long and weld a 5/16 nut middle ways.

You can use your driver to make a pilot hole in frozen ground if the frost isn't too deep.If there is too much frost, I have been using a cordless hammer drill and a masonary bit.

bigcat - reverse the way you put the stake on the driver - in other words do not put the stake 45 on the driver at the 45 so they match up on the driver - put them on so it looks wrong and they dont match up and the gap will give some friction to pull against when you try to set the anchor
