what dates did they make pans like this? I can read triumph on the pan, but that's about it. found it in my dad's shed. don't really know much about it or if it is a collectible trap. thanks.

Have you tried washing the pan to see if you can make it more readable? Warm water and an old toothbrush.

I cleaned it and can read triumph no 1. think it says made in usa on the bottom, but has something written between triumph and no 1. cant make it out though.

That looks like the pan that Triumph used on their Kwik-Grip, #1 coil spring trap. I have not seen it on a long spring.

That sounds like a possibility. That pan shape is quite unique.

This is what mine looks like. Floyd Rainey says its an F.C. Taylor mystery barrel trap from 1936 after Triumph folded. They were assembled from left over parts.They usually had a round rivet chain attachment (see picture).The standard Triumph had a square rivet.As to value, again its worth what someone will pay,but with a partly readable pan $10 to $15 (my .02) because its somewhat scarce.For what its worth I like the odd Triumph's.
