Here is some photos of the other trap I found in the rocks on my trapline. I don't know what brand it is, no markings anywhere. The dog was very rusty, but the rest is in decent shape.

Can't get more photos now, in lower 48 for awhile, thank you; is it what's called the slick pan?

your hopeful? eh
I think its parts of two traps.
looks like a #3 sized trap with a #2 size spring

the smaller spring is machined
and the bigger one is trip hammered
the base is thick and early, fitting to the long link chain and trip hammer spring.
there should be a spring stamp on one or both of those springs

the jaws look a little odd, not just because they are smashed either

It is a slick pan but I am not sure that it is a Newhouse. Hard to tell for sure from the photos but it looks like a P.S.& W., they have heavier jaws and jaw post nuts.

This is slick pan PSW
notice the very long point?
The one above looks like newhouse point to me
The long link chain and swivel look right for newhouse too
