Hey fellas, Went out this morning to turn some coyotes I put on the strecher yesterday about noon. They were mostly dry except for their underarms(wet as they could be). Hung them upside down to try to let the underarms dry. What now? and how can I keep this from happening in the future? Any little secrets like the underarms drying and how to remedy it is greatly appreciated. Thank's and Merry Christmas, Brad

Bushmaster, What does the borax do? I also noticed the face was limp when I went to turn them this evening. Do yal normaly flesh out the face on hides? On the T&M fur handeling video the gentelman doing the demo said you could flesh out the face if you wanted to but, that it really was'nt necessary and you ran a pretty good risk of cutting the face if you tried it. That to just take a sharp knife and trim any of the excess meat that offended you off the face but, that it really was'nt necessary that they would dry just fine. What are yal's thoughts? Thank's Brad

why aren't you supposed to borax the face area on fur-out skins?

I cut a piece of cardboard 4 or 5 in long and wide enough to roll up so it just fits in the legs. It will hold them out straight. Just another way to hold them out straight, all the above posts will work well. Are you using wire or wood? RD
