cascade OP trapper Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 362 Washington state	I had put this trap on the trappers' talk forum before we had the trap collectors' forum, but since this is one of my favorite traps in my collection I thought, what the heck, I'll show it again. This trap is a center clutch Newhouse trap. The clutches are able to be knocked out of the castings in the jaws and are very sharp. It's really no wonder why very few were made because of the damage they would do to the fur. Greg

trapper48 trapper T Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 351 Missouri	Fantastic trap Greg, in your opinion, were the center clutch traps made for the general population or were they a custom order for a specific customer, seams there are so few to be found or have been found, that they couldn't have been made but a very short while, seams odd Oneida Community would put that much time and effort into a trap if they were only going to produce it in small numbers, unless it was a custom order. Just my rambling thoughts, still a beautiful trap that I don't have. Thanks again Greg!!
