OK I searched the archives and didn't find anything so here goes. Do I have to go any farther then just getting any chunks of meat off? There is a little red membrane on it But I'm thinking that can stay just like on a mink.
Sure are some stinky little guys aren't they
Oh yah I pulled the legs around onthe belly side and pinned them in the middle is this right?

Real trappers mash em up a bit mix with a little extra hot salsa and enjoy the flavor on tortilla chips washed down with a beer while out in the shed skinning.

Couple of questions for you 2poor. What's the ratio of long tails to short tails that you trap? Also, ever get a Least Weasel? Though I've not trapped a lot of Weasel. All I get down here (west of twin cities) is short tail.

All I get down here (west of twin cities) is short tail. I suspect it would take 200-300 Shortails to find a longtail. I tend to trap swamps and I see more evidence of longtails in the Conifer. I do know of several longtails taken in the area ! I caught One least Weasel several years ago. Shortails are the prominate Weasel in this area also.
