Cole slaw, boiled potatoes, and twin lobster tails, all for 13 bucks less than the cost of a squirrel. And they're a customer!

Now you know why I had a heart attack. That sucker is coated in drawn butter.

The big question Paul, what kind of lobster tails? Being from New England there is only one lobster worth eating. We are spoiled here!

Steve, I hate to break your heart, but the best lobster comes from the coldest waters. That usually means South African rock lobster tails.

Now I am also known for eating more than my share of crab leg. Once again, the coldest waters prevail. I had my very first Alaskan King Crab legs in of all places, Alaska. The year was 1966 and it is their fault that I have been devouring shell fish at a rapid pace ever since.

Well Paul I guess since I haven't had South African rock lobster so I cant dispute that, so I will have to hunt down some and put it to the test. I am open to anything. Now I have had Rock lobster before from southern U.S. and it gets a big thumbs down compared to Maine lobster IMO. Back me up swampdonkey!

Steve, we were on a cruise in the Bahamas and lobster was on the menu. We asked the table captain about it and he said something to the effect that the lobster was warm water lobster and that we would probably hate it but that the steak was excellent. We ordered the steak and we were glad we asked.

That's funny; I don't recall Mike bringing me any lobster back from Maine.

I haven't tried Maine lobster, but in Florida we have the Spiny lobster that range from 1 - 12 lbs or so. I have caught tons of them. They are good, but Alaskan King Crab legs are the best by far. When I can find them at a reasonable price, I eat those king crab legs until they are running out of my ears. Man those things dipped in melted butter are good!

nadunbar, what is it about that "right off the boat thing"? I was never a big fan of salmon but when I arrived in Alaska, the first meal I had was fresh caught salmon in a hotel restaurant. One of the best meals of fish I've ever eaten.

Same thing with the Alaskan king crab. Glad I don't live there. I weigh the same as I did in high school. If I lived in Alaska I'd probably way as much as I did in three high schools!
