I'm tired of the noise extension ladders make when hauled!
Any suggestions?

I have foamed all of my ladders (inside the rungs) for 10 years or so now. Not only does it minimize noise while driving, it makes the aluminum ladders "quieter" when lowering them at those midnight calls in urban areas.

I foamed my ears about 10 years ago and haven't heard the ladders since. Or anything else either.

Foam just the ends. No need to foam the whole thing.

It would be nice if there were caps for them.

I'll testify Rick has more reason than most to need that skill, and if he mentions this to Verron I'll deny it. LOL

I used aluminum tape over each rung hole and had great success.

I used Scotch tape and now they sound like bagpipes.

Not funny, Paul. I could listen to the war pipes all day long.

The Band Of The Royal Irish Regiment-Highland Cat…: http://youtu.be/V8FnzSSQGrI

Highland Cathedral has to be some of the best music written for any instrument.

David, I'll take your word for it. Please do not try to listen to bagpipes all day long. The bees will take advantage and sneak up and sting your butt!

Buy fiberglass ladder.

Got a 36 footer on the truck. My regular is only a 28 footer, both fiberglass.
