im in franklin county and suspect I have it on my property, seen it when it carried berrys but never picked. unless theres another species of plant looking exactly like seng and carrying same berries. i'm in the sw part of the state but have heard it was seen sw of me in a another close by county. found it on a north facing spot, land broken up in area, a lot of up and down walking. shady place out of direct sunlight. there was quite abit poking up carrying the berries. washout a few feet away from slope carrying water. berrys caught my eye, strange red clumps in a greened up area. zeroed in on it to see what it was, pulled leaves and came here to identify. sure looked like it by what others here have posted, guess I would need to dig a root up. we've had this property for 40 years. I have not heard of anyone in the proximity digging seng, all private property around me for those 40 years. I,ve heard from a local it can be found in homochitto national forest only about 4 or 5 miles as the crow flies from me
have a question also, does miss have a season to harvest? and if so when is it harvested?
