I was thinking of trapping a little part time for mainly problem beaver, skunk and coon. I'm curious if there is a good book or series of dvd's that is based on a how to for ADC business? I'm not sure as what the best way to do price structure, insurance, and need to learn more techniques that don't scare clients. This will by no means be my means of making money but would hopefully be a little extra cash flow for something I enjoy. Thanks for all the help in advance and I will be spending time in the archives.

Just starting myself and archives are great, I refer to them constantly. If I can't find what I'm looking for then I ask specifically.
I have read "The Wildlife Damage Inspection Handbook" by Stephen Vantassel is one of the better books. I haven't had the (extra) money yet to purchase, however, due to all the other equipment...
Insured thru Bob May's and Sons (agent) and West Bend Mutual recently.
Price structure is tough for me. It all depends on your area and how much is involved. I'm doing inspection/set-up fee and per animal gig.
Being price of gas, I am considering charging rate to check traps daily fee also. Like over 5- 10 miles, $10. 10 - 20, $20. I am new so I feel bad charging someone if I can't catch the critter. So I'm restraining from the latter until I get better.
I've been a trapper for over 20 years. Trapping nuisance animals in a structure definitely has a huge learning curve. Trails are there just different i.e. thru insulation, up down spouts, along window sills, etc...
For me, it's hard to grasp the concept of positive setting on the outside of a house. I do it but it looks shotty. I guess a cage trap hanging off a soffit isn't real attractive no matter what you do...
Got a LLC, certification from my state and a checking account for the business. Know the laws for nuisance wildlife especially the releasing or euthanization of different critters.
Scare clients? I think I scare them when I show up anyway!
I'm not the one to give good advice about this but this is what I'm doing plus research, research and then research....

Dave, regarding trapping and not catching your target animals: pull traps a few days after activity stops; this is the great benefit of using colony traps. I wouldn't worry too much about how your set looks on the house; haven't had a customer in 18 years complain that the set was ugly. It's just temporary.

WCT Magazine is available in a digital format.
I don't know if every single one is available, but you can surely pick and choose based on the content.
