I was a daily drinker with Copenhagen, but I've actually cut that out of my diet as well, only drinking on the weekends right now. Caffeine is a whole mother story, u wanna see mean, take away my coffee. I'm loosing track of the days here, I think this is the start of 5 days free now for me. Good luck fellas

I read somewhere what I thought was a pretty good statement. Your body is supposed to last almost 100 years, and most of us have no problem buying this or that but for most part we typically don't invest much in our own health or maintenance. If there are quitting techniques and aids out there to consider, might think of it as an investment, long-term, maybe worth several more years trapping if nothing else! Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Yeah, I smoked as a younger man, a lot. Then quit when my 12 year old was coming into the world. Was HARD and I chewed a ton of sugar free gum. Tried a lot of helper things but finally got it done. Lost almost 40 pounds, doing my third half marathon this year, and going to try my first full next year, at least want to get one in before I hit fifty in couple years. I look back and had no problem buying $30,000 trucks that maybe went 10 years. Investing in your body should be more important in grand scheme of things, I think. Jim

I want to meet my maker too, and I don't really care if I make 80, but I don't want to spend any of that time between now and then at a dentist, or oral surgeon. I ain't afraid of dyeing and I ain't afraid of cancer, but I sure as heck don't want to have to rely on anyone else to take care of me because I have no mouth or face or throat left....,na, I'd just assume have a heart attack in the high elevations of Montana chasing down pale yotes, not sittin in a hospice facility getting fed through a straw. But to each his own.

The easiest way to quit is to book yourself a trip to some remote place on the planet for about three weeks that doesn't have chew. Someplace that offers something fun or interesting, some examples: Mongolia - hunting, Thailand - beach stuff or highlands trekking, and so on. This will really work. The trick is to be doing something you enjoy in a completely different environment, and for at least three weeks. Is it a little expensive? yes, but not quitting is more expensive, I can guaranty that. I speak from experience.

Ha, every year when I go to Vegas for the rodeo, I took a whole log of snuff, same for annual trips to Mexico lol. It's funny, today was hard for me to, I'm on day four or five, but today was tuff. It just don't feel right walkin and fixin fence without snuff, it was tuff, but another day down.

Being a teenager the temptation to dip is almost everywhere. School, sports, and at friends house. I've had it before but reading this thread is really gonna help me say no. Good thread.

Well fellows I was planning on putting the stuff down for good this weekend. However as of 7 this morning I have not had a dip. Boy didn't think I would make it 14 hrs without one but I have. Thanks for the help and good luck to all that's trying to kick it.
