Bluegoose OP trapper B Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 5 Beasley, Tx	I need to get rid of some squirrels, that apparently my neighbors think are cute, but eat all of my peaches from my trees. I would like some tips as to how I can trap them. Would good ole Victor rat traps work? I also have a small Conibear but I don't have a clue as to how to rig it so a squirrel would be enticed into it. What bait would work? Thanks When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear.

Jim Bethell trapper J Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,514 Woodhull, Illinois 77	If you are talking gray and fox squirrels, a rat trap is NOT strong enough. IMO First, make sure it is legal to trap squirrels in your state.

Paul Winkelmann trapper P Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,361 mequon, wisconsin	I guess it's kind of interesting that of all the different animals that we remove from houses ( mink, weasel, muskrat, etc., ) the only animal that I feel more comfortable trapping in a cage as opposed to anything else, is a member of the squirrel family. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that I've had a reasonable amount of success with multiple cages and the multi-catch cage.
