I really believe that besides the many different advertising gimmicks ( TV, radio, newspapers, Internet, word of mouth, etc., etc. ) I have found the cheapest and best way to make the phone ring and here it is. All day long we have had three secretaries, plus my son, in the office to take phone calls. And we had a few, but now that everybody has gone home, the phone has been ringing off the hook. So if you want your phone to ring, it's simple: just walk away!

Or try to goto dinner with your wife!

In the summer BBQ a 30oz porterhouse and just as it's coming off the grille the phone will ring 9 times out of 8. In the winter when the road conditions are at their worst, like today, the phone will ring.

I found that forgetting to turn the ringer off when I go to bed has a positive effect on calls in the middle of the night.

My ringer is never off, but my response time can vary.
