I just received my latest edition of WCT and I have to tell you that the cover alone impressed me. It said "In This Issue" and then listed the following topics: Can Animals See Colors? Wildlife In Chimneys Climbing Skunks Muskrat Trapping Basics Our Abundant Wildlife Groundhog Love Floating Colony Trap Review and Preparing The Next Generation.

Now, to be perfectly honest, I haven't had a chance to read a single one of those topics because I started at the beginning and I haven't got to the articles yet. I read Eric Arnold's "Winter Time Blues" article where he paid the proper respects to Robb Russell and Ed Carrow. I read Paul Winkelmann's articles because even though I am he, I can never know what will be printed.

I then go immediately to my fellow columnists, which would be Jack Ammerman, who had one of the best columns on business cards that I've ever read and Bill Christman who once again had a fantastic article on "Passing The Torch" and really made me wince when he informed the world that he is only three years older than my oldest.

So now I've got all the rest of those interesting topics to read and to quote a good friend of mine, Al Krier, "WCT magazine is just getting better and better." And if you've never had a subscription before, just send me your name, address, and E-mail, and I will personally buy your first year subscription free of charge.

P.S. There are no kick-backs, I do not get anything out of this, ( Well, except maybe some remarks about editing once in a while ) but I have always believed in the value of WCT and I am proud to be a part of it!

I read most of the articles last evening. I thought it was a very good and an interesting read for us old timers and those up and coming operators. Many things I already had similiar or the same experiences with over the years so it hit home to share these findings and views with others. Good subscription.........

I think it speaks volumes that the last two posts were Mr. Ursiny Sr.( I'm guessing a new member of our community ) who thanked us ahead of time for making WCT happen, as well as Bob Jameson, who represents someone in our small community of ADC professionals whose approval and recommendation is not a small thing. Thank you both!

Salys, I hear the same thing from Krier and he's in Florida. That's probably why it's only printed every other month, so you guys can catch up.

Dave are you the punctuation po-leese? Let's play Scrabble. And no Laura is not invited, she's smarter than most of us.

Dave, you just know that he's going to say that he's too busy editing my copies to worry about anything else. And Salys, opossums are smarter than most of us.

Dave,

Even proof-readers miss things at times, especially when its deadline time.

Remember, anyone (include you) can submit an article for consideration. Send it to editor@wctmagazine.com along with any photo support (just make sure the images have more than a 140 dpi resolution or are very large like 11 x 14 at the lower resolutions). I'll review it and get back with you on acceptance and payment.

Disclaimer: This response was not proof read. The typist makes no claims as to the spelling and grammatical accuracy of this post.

Right now, there's some opossum dying on a centerline who resents being compared to this lot.
Eric! I'll do her! Will talk soon... got several possibilities; one's already in the can.

Pony Express finally made it through with my copy despite 15" of new snow and minus 22 this morning. And talking about weather, we here in MT haven't even received an honorable mention about our winter. This one is near record, 91" so far when normal is 30-40", we've had multiple days at -20 or colder, today broke the old record by several degrees. Now the wooses on the east coast get all the press every time they get 2" of snow or a little below freezing WAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Eric, reading the article on chimneys you mentioned removing the damper, how? is it bolted, slide into a slot or?? I would think after years of heat, soot and smoke a nut and bolt would be seized. Please explain.

When I mentioned the record cold this year on Internet Explorer, some dipwad responded that this year is the fourth warmest on record. Is he right or was he reporting directly from Heck where a lot of new members could have raised the temperature significantly?

I want to hear Al Gore talk about global warming while his nuts are freezing and turning black from frost bite. He would blame the Republicans most likely.
