It is a ton of work to get started. Permits, licenses, insurance, equipment, marketing, developing contracts, website....add it up and it will be about $50,000 to get started.

When I started, my cousin said "balls to the wall....balls to the wall."....so I worked as hard as possible. The struggle...getting started...is definitely worth it. Anything less....don't bother.

Some struggles you can't prevent or anticipate. And some you can. But I do agree that struggling can be fun in retrospect, sometimes. I've found that the trying is usually more fun than the accomplishing. That might be why I'm always trying new things.

Reasons for differences: Demographics of your customer base, your skill, your professionalism, your strategy, your overhead, your size, number of trucks, marketing budget, and level of profitability desired. All these factors....and then some...determine price.
