I have never heard the phone ring like this in the 25 years we've been in business. At one point my daughter said that we had five people on our lines. ( I guess maybe buying that new system that automatically transfers calls to an unused line, turned out to be a good idea ) Whether all those calls translates into work, remains to be seen. I do know that the bats and the yellow jackets seemed to have formed a pest union to drive us crazy both day and night.

Spent the better part of the day building a wheel chair ramp for one of our local LEO's who recently had a massive heart attack. Great to have the time to visit with old running partners, would have been nicer under better circumstances.
Not a single nuisance call today though.

Spent the day at Niagara Falls with the family. The hurricane deck is a must.

Today we are going to do a little shopping and then do the "Maid of the Mist"

Tomorrow we are packing up and heading to Gettysburg for a couple days.

Picked up a few bat inspections for when I get back but nothing out of the ordinary.

August is traditionally slow here except for last year, had one deer carcass call "OH I have to pay, let me talk to my husband".

Big day phone calls very steady in Ontario, Midwest, Northeast yesterday. I think the higher temperatures for some from the 40-50's back into the 60-70's made a big difference for many of you.

Anybody licensed in Delaware know bat exclusion here?

By call volume this year North Dakota, South Dakota and the Coeur d'Alene Idaho all have a sparked increase in demand.

Mine wasn't so great. Found out my best customer is about to sell his high fence deer ranch and is no longer in need of my services. Wasn't what I wanted to hear to start my week off!

ETex, some of our properties are on their third owner and we are still there. Have your best customer recommend you to the new owner. ( Some of our customers have included a loose leaf binder with all of their recommended help, as part of the sale )

You know how we can tell that just like Antczak, this is probably the busiest week ever? It's real easy: one guy's on vacation, one guy's out with an unexpected eye operation, my grandson is back in school, and two vehicles are down; maybe even out. This could never happen in an easy week!

Yep my guy (tech) starts fulltime in November. He is just workin evenings with me when he ain't trying to stay on a bronc for 8 seconds. So November 1st the phone will stop ringing.
Right now I litterly can't take another job!
I never thought I would say "I'm ready for the bats to leave!"

I should be back Saturday night and have 6 bat inspections scheduled for Sunday and have given about 10 away because I just cant get to them.

So next week when I am back the phones will go dead.

On a positive note.....Gettysburg is pretty amazing.
