Best way to get rid of ground hogs? A guy who owns thousands (and I mean thousandssss) of acres is going to allow me to trap his land if I get rid of a ground hog problem he is having near a barn. I'm not an ADC guy so I haven't ran into a ground hog job lol

You may have a few less scars, but I'll have better stories!

I use 2 door 9x9 Tomahawk live traps (heavy duty). Put them infront of the dens and crawl unders. Use plywood pieces for blocking. Sides and top. Make them go thru that trap. After the 1st one is caught all that urine and poop will bring the next one right in. No bait no lure. Or snare them if legal for you

If you want a lure, I have used Whistle stop, made by blackies blend.
It does get results. but I still think the best setup, is a positive set on sign.
If the landowner does not have any pets to worry about, 160 & 155, size bodygrippers
work very well also.

What never ceases to amaze me is that whatever you use for blocking, ( I swear, it could be long toothpicks ) they never seem to knock down the blocking and nearly always go through the cage. ( In my case, Comstocks ) If animals were humans, they would all be on welfare.

Paul our skunks here will either go through the wires on the Comstock , it happened in front of me a handful of times, now they have 2x4s screwed in the side or dig like [Please excuse my language... I'm an idiot] to get around the cage. No more lazy posi set for this guy.
