How do you get that hard glossy finish? I use Andy Stoes and KBL and traps always come out like they were dyed instead of dipped. Using white gas according to label.

Any input?

Not sure what your looking for but I use 2 galls of mineral spirits and 3 quarts of dip. Dries in a few hours.

The only time I get a glossy finish on mine are when they very light coat of rust on new traps. My older traps that have a good coat of rust have a dull finish when redipped.

Yeh, I have had the same, dull on older, rusted traps and glossy on the new traps. The rust absorbs the dip more causing it to dull.
