How do I get the application to become a animal control trapper in Pa does the PGC do that. Or the PDA. Thanks for any information.

If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?

Tracks,

I don't live in PA, but I'd recommend you go ahead and call the game commission and talk to them. Someone there ought to be able to be sure you get on the right track with the right information.

You could wait, I'm sure someone will answer here, but folks are busy this time of year so you might just be missing some of the normal PA crew who could answer this for you, folks are always happy to supply that and other info here.

Good luck!

Justin

Go to the PGC regional office closest to you. Ask them for the information. They will tell you everything that needs to be done along with the dates, times and locations of the texting sites.

I have been working all day or I would have answered your question earlier. You need to contact your local (WCO) Wildlife Conservation officier. Ask for an application or contact your regional PGC office and ask for an application. Then they will send you your study manual. They can also tell you where and when the tests will be given.

Each time you test, fail and re test it will cost you $50.00. I believe you may only test twice a year if you fail the first time. The test is comprehensive in its content, so you will need to know your material well to get a passing score.

Once again, Wisconsin makes sense where other states fail to do so. One of our techs failed one of the pest control licensing tests. His scores on parts of the test were higher than other techs who passed. He retook the test two days later and passed with flying colors.

I would challenge most technicians to be more intelligent in the field than this guy. My old science teacher from high school administers these test and his biggest complaint was that if you failed the test, you never knew what you were weak in. That has changed. You now know what your weak points and high points are.

Retesting is free of charge and our company pays for the testing. We also give everyone who passes, a $50 bill. You can say what you want but there is no better encouragement to study than cold, hard cash. If you don't believe that, ask any one of my grandchildren how much an A is worth on their report card.

I just got my info from Pa and it costs me 25 dollars just to see if Im qualified got to write a resume and all.Im already licenesed in 3 other states dont know if Ill waste my time or money on that one.Its the only state that wants money before test to see if they want you to test?? The others you get background check pay the fee take the test. Really a different approach.
