i catch them in the winter w/ no problem,,i have a bunch of tame rabbits running loose at my place and a weasel or weasels are eating my young rabbits,,what i have tryed.

1. set a trap like i do in the winter,trap w/ some beaver meat behind it v#7 as a lure,,,,, rabbit for dinner.

2. set trap in 5 gal bucket,drill 2 1/2" hole in the side of the bucket, put some dirt in the bottom of the bucket to bed the trap,(rabbit cant get in thr bucket) but cant get the weasel in there either.,,it this bucket set im useing cat creek predetor bait,,,beaver would sour to fast.,,,any ideas???

Try a little salted beaver with anise oil as
A lure! Make sure you put out enough
Traps, not just one or two!

If I can catch summertime weasels on fish flavored cat food, I can't imagine Kasey's recipe not working in a squirrel sized cage.

Use a box with trap or coni as usual but make yourself a wire box big enough and strong enough to hold a live small rabbit. Mouse might work also. Keep it feed, watered and in the shade and if the rest are put up for a few days, you should nail him pretty fast.


I never saw a wild thing , feel sorry for itself.....

The weasels don't want old beaver when they can have a fresh kill.

I think weasels are made to kill. So, tempt them with a live rabbit for bait.
