Real nice shell! Has lights on the inside. I'm thinking about getting a little 12volt fan for inside there. Best thing about it is it was FREE!! And it was on my way to a job.

Nice topper. If the ladder rack is aluminum as it appears to be you need to be careful with long ladders extending past he front of the cab. I had a similar topper and the welds on the rear eventually broke due to long ladders bouncing on the unsupported ends that hung over the cab. Fixed that by replacing the rear frames with welded square steel tubing but that just shifted the flex to the mounting bolts and they wallowed out fairly quickly.
The bounce was particularly bad on the longer ladders 32' and above. Of course the ladders were always on the truck and if I had it to do over I'd strip my load of ladders down to the least I had to have and only load the big'uns as needed.

Thanks for the heads up!What would you think about keeping the 28' ladder on all the time? I'd hate to have to leave it home but I will if it'll save the top. Just like to have it just in case.

28' should do fine, especially since that one has center support as mine didn't. I would though find a way to get the ladder snugged down tight to all three supports to take as much wiggle out as I could. It's the wiggle that kills aluminum.
I've got a kargomaster rack now that extends to the front of my cab and have ratchet tiedowns installed for the ladders.

I'm really sorry that I'm a wet blanket on this one. PJ bought a brand new Toyota Tundra, had it fully equipped with an expensive cap, pull-out bed, the whole works.

It costs more than twice what my goofy Transit Connect costs and I wouldn't trade him on a bet. I realize that my nasal passages don't work at a 100% anymore but if you just empty the crap that collects at the bottom of your cage, before you throw it in the back, you're way ahead of the game.

I have even had customers that comment on how I drive the perfect vehicle for my job. As guess I should realize that asking our employees to be halfway organized would be out of the question. Well, I have news for them; Our next vehicle will also be a Transit Connect.

Never been in a transit connect before. I bet it's nice to work out of. My truck cost was only $1500, got a heck of a good deal on it. And I need the bigger truck for trailers. My next truck will be a 4 door cummins. Something with a little more room, my family of 6 fit in this truck just not completely comfortable.
