Yes to trap and toss unless you want to make bait. Woodchuck are a good coyote bait .Search the archives there should be woodchuck bait info there. Its informative reading .

I trap nuisance groundhogs at their dens with 160 conibears, no bait or lure. The trap is staked down and covered with wire mesh to prevent accidents. Groundhog skin is of no value as fur, but there is a market for the leather. If really fresh, can chop up for canine bait, but got to preserve it properly. I eat them only when freshly killed, head shot sweet 17, gutted and iced. Ask an Amish/ Mennonite person.

If you know a fly tier they may want the hides. The fur is about like a giant squirrel tail.
