If it is accessible enough you might try something as simple as a small radio, could be enough to disrupt her patience and make her move. Are the little ones mobile? If so you could be a little more pushy with the situation.
Good luck

Have you had success with this method?

I have seen countless homeowners put radios, tv's, lights, even a leaf blower in the attic to scare out mom and to date I have never seen it work. Of course if it did work they wouldn't need to call me so I am unaware of how many times it did work for people.

I have used eviction fluid and my results with it are about 50/50 at best. I use it as an absolute last resort.

Used it for skunks under brother-in-law's porch, to be honest I was hoping it irritated the juice right out of them. But it worked, he left it on while he was at work and sealed the entrance when he realized they was gone.

Sounds like its to late for the coon urine trick if you have been working it a week now she thinks she's king kong mama coon . Doing stuff like this will only drive her deeper in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XyuzmG1uG8&feature=youtube_gdata_player sounds like cutting a hole will be the only option . Just pull back the carpet cut the hole then fix the hole put back the carpet . That's better than drywall repair . Home owners don't want maggets dripping ether . How old are the baby's can they move around by them selfs they might be trapped in squirrel traps or called out by putting a baby coon in the direction you want them to go . Might be able to use the trapped mom to draw them out to . These baby coon can be a real nightmare time to cut a hole before they die then it's going to really become a nightmare

My preferred method (before last resort eviction fluid) is to trap mom. Let her sit on location for awhile and a little before dark I cut her loose. To date she has removed babies within 48 hours every time I have done it.

If she is trap shy and won't go in the cage then I break out the eviction fluid. Like Pesky said, it might not work if you been using numerous harrassment techniques with no success. Sometimes a 220 in a bucket is the best solution.

the only entrance point i can get to is were the coon is going in and out all i can fit is my head in it and it goes back about 8 feet to a corner that i cant see around. the babys are only a couple weeks old i would say 3 at most. i do have live traps out right now but nothin so far. the home owners already said no to cutting the floor so that is out of the question. i just gotta make momma move them kits out of there.

What style of music are you guys using? I can think of some that would drive me out, while others I'd be sleeping soundly!

Maybe some boy band music?

The first thing that you need to find out is the raccoon's political preference. If your raccoon is a Liberal Democrat, play whatever station Rush is on. If she's a Consevative Republican, the president should be able to drive her out of wherever she is in about 30 seconds.

I use eviction paste most of the time that I know I'm dealing with a mom and pups, and have had really good success with it. If you've been around a couple times and she's gotten used to your scent though, it's a lot less likely to have the desired effect. Similar to bird work, if you can stress out more than one of her senses at a time, the success rate goes up. I'd try eviction fluids, radio on the floor, and go buy one of those strobe lights that you'd attach to the front of a bike and put that in the hole too.

I have great luck with eviction fluid, especially at this time of year. As the pups get older the less it works. I don't go poking around looking for her, just smear the paste and come back the next day. Make the smell of the bore the threat and not you by poking around looking for her.

I've not had ample opportunity to try eviction paste but I have seen repeated time and time again by folks and will summarize what the common theme is.

***If you create a lot of commotion and cause the sow to be defensive versus just creeping up and dropping a rag, or tennis ball, or other with a smear of the fluid on it, you will most often not be successful. The key repeated time and time again is in allowing the odor to do the work, and not hinder the "technology" involved by creating a lot of action there.***

Does that sound right to the folks who are using it routinely? I do like Nate's version of cage trap and let sit and then release though, and since he is paying attention to the outcomes, there is a track record.

Another aspect of any of this work is keeping a record of what works, since so many come from the fur trapping background, this is as simple as keeping a log of what lure, set type, weather, etc... and results of catch.

In this case, if you try eviction fluid, keep a record of all aspects, did the client bother the coon before you got there or harass it? Did you do that yourself? What other factors may have caused it to fail, or succeed?

These are all worthy to keep track of and can help not only you and your business in using it, but can give others valuable info too as is happening on this thread.

Justin

Justin, my wife has been using eviction fluid and paste on me for years and it only makes me less able to smell than I was before, so no, it hasn't worked on me.

On raccoons, however, I have had excellent success in dead end chimleys ( Southern pronunciation ) but not so much in attics.
