Pesky , the piece you said you wanted to put on the other side (looks like the bar holding the spring), does that hit the other side of the trap when it closes? Do you plan you use that like a big mole trap(outside a chucks hole) or for something on a tree or downed log? Like the idea.

Maybe round off the ends with a circle bend...so they do not impale someone's leg. Good luck.

Yes there's a trap called the triple J that's where I got the idea from . Would be a lot Easyer if I had the trap to measure from . Woûld like to get it so the pan will fit up close to a wall for wall sets . Head back home going to build it again

Smallcreek no that don't hold the spring it holds the dog . Not sure what I plan to catch with it maybe mink or squirrel . Need to get it right first

Talked to this big time trapper up in Canada yesterday that had seen what I was working on . He said that triple J trap was a great trap but the pan system wasnt that great is why they stopped buying /making them . First thing he noticed was I changed that . Truth is couldnt really see on the pic how they made it so I made like the koro trap I had . Which gopher trap you talking about iron paw
