No pictures , but you just set them in the main runs as you would for beaver when it is warm and you will catch them if they are there. You can catch them coming to bait with snares same as beaver.Same type of set.

They will come to your baited beaver sets. Have caught up to six footers in koro traps. Caught quite a few in snare sets with castor when it is warm.

Caught several in my "Beaver Bobcat" trap.

They will come out of the water after you sometimes if they are in a snare. I always run the potato rake down the line when I am not sure what I have to prevent the attack.

Found one of the videos I made a couple of years ago of a alligator.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4NxhCrjD5E

The farmer was upset that I released the alligator. He was longer than what I am allowed to relocate under my permit.

Alligators are in all of our drainages. Very few folks want them around. Many have made sugggestions to raise the number of public permits issued. They have a way of determining how many public permits to issue. I believe it is flawed. When you have over a couple hundred thousand animals that 99% of the landowners don,t want and your average yearly harvest, over the last ten years is less than 300, something is wrong.

I believe our drought has affected the way they do their counting, making the numbers appear differently than what they are.

Florida is saturated with them. I have heard several stories from a friend of mine who is over a management area for the state. He said hunters have witnessed alligators with freshly caught deer. Maybe they were just stories.

He has been on night countings down there and said there were hundreds to be seen. He said sometimes it is almost unbelieveable. I have seen hundreds in just a short while on lake Okachobee, one night several years ago, while getting an airboat tour from a friend.
