Hey guys I was curious if you can start a little ADC business without being an official work place and if so how could you start? Make signs, business cards, etc. I am only 14 so that is why is would not be an official business.

Check with your state DNR. The rules are different in every state. In my state, you have to be licensed to charge a fee. If you are not charging a fee, you have to have a permit from the game warden. Even if in your own back yard. But like I said, every state is different.

Your a kid go ride your bike around town and eyeball people in need but don't limit yourself or put yourself above doing anything honest . Treat people with respect and they will do the same . Being a 14 yearold gives you advantage in earning honest dollar because you might just find surprised people that a kid is looking to earn and not handouts . Also be on the look out for people looking to take advantage of you . Right up a contract on note paper if people seem shady . I can understand your passion in trapping but trapping tools cost money so even cleaning up dog poo could be considered working a trapping job .

Mountain Man 14, if this is truely what you love, don't skimp on it. Biology in high school, some more mathematics so you can figure out what to charge. Go on to college ( you can pay for it in the summer working animal control like my son did ) Take college courses in business and any other associated courses. Let everyone know what you want to do with your life. That's what high school and college Educational Deans get paid for.

14, you show a lot of gumption for a 14 y.o. Don't know how close you can get to actual business ( and only because of your age) status, but maybe somebody at Missouri Trapper's Assn. can help, and you've probably already tried that. Good luck. Enjoy your youth.
